Daily video to newsletter draft
Turn today's video into a short newsletter issue: subject line, 3 takeaways, and a link back.
Tools
- beehiiv (affiliate)
Steps
- Create a bot named 'Newsletter Drafter' with the prompt below.
- After publishing, send it the title, URL and a timestamped transcript (YouTube's transcript panel shows timestamps), so it can cite where each flagged claim appears.
- Paste the draft into a new beehiiv post. Keep your own voice: edit the intro by hand.
- Check each flagged claim at its timestamp before you send.
- Send a test email to yourself, check links on mobile, then schedule.
Prompt
Write a newsletter issue from this video transcript.
Output:
1. Three subject line options (under 50 characters, no ALL CAPS, no fake urgency).
2. Preview text (under 90 characters).
3. A 2-sentence intro in first person.
4. 'Three things from today's video' — 3 bullets, each 1–2 sentences, only facts from the transcript.
5. A one-line call to watch: 'Watch the full video: {URL}'.
Under 250 words total. After the draft, list every claim, stat or fact I should verify. For each one, give the exact video timestamp where it's said (for example 4:32), or the page, section, paragraph or line if the source is a document, so I can jump straight to it. Replace anything in {BRACES} with your own details. Always review output before you post or send it.
